Daley had a great career with Wolves from his debut in 1971 until his
England record transfer to Man City in 1979.
The fee £ 1 437 500 that
Man City paid was never value for money after Dailey's injury problems
and lack of consistancy.
As so many other players Dailey tried his luck in the NASL with
Seattle Sounders.
Daley moved back to England, joining Burnley,
but
moved back to the states and played on for San Diego Sockers.
Daley retired from league football in 1986 after a short spell at
Walsall
