The transfer window is closed, but the season is close to it's finish
and players are allready linked with new clubs. Thierry Henry and Yaya
Toure are both in the headlines and reported to be chased by new clubs.
Thierry Henry looks certain to leave Barcelona in the summer. A
return to the Premier League could still be on and the most likely
destination would be to join Man City. MLS club New York Red Bulls are
still in the chase and a move to US could be tempting for Henry.
Yaya Toure is a key player at Barcelona, but it could be possible
for him to join his brother Kolo at Man City. Man City will do what it
takes to get into the Premier League and Champions League winning race
and Toure would be a perfect addition to their squad.
West Ham defender Calum Davenport, who looks certain to leave
Upton Park in front of next season, is a close target for Fulham, Wolves
and Birmingham.
Kris Boyd is linked with a move to Birmingham, and suggestions
are that he has allready agreed a 4 year deal with the Premier League
club.
Notts County goalkeeper Kasper Scmeichel could be on his way back
to the Premier League with Birmingham and Blackburn as the most likely
new destination.
Man Utd have to decide which defenders they want to keep at Old Trafford.
Nemanja Vidic and Jonny Evans are both in line to join new
clubs. Evans is a target for Real Madrid and Vidic could join AC Milan.
Craig Levein is a shock candidate for the vacant Celtic job. The
newly appointed Scotland manager knows that it would be a risk to walk
out on his country. Mark Hughes, Nigel Pearson and newly
appointed caretaker manager Neil Lennon are other names linked
with the position.
Martin O'Neill could walk out on Aston Villa. Rumours are
circulating constantly with Man City, Chelsea or Liverpool and his
old club Celtic as possible new destinations. Carlo Ancelotti's job at
Chelsea could also be at risk if Chelsea loses the hunt for FA Cup and
Premier League glory.
Inter Milan is the latest club to show interest for Liverpool captain
Steven Gerrard. Gerrard could be interested to join one of the
bigger clubs in Italy or Spain.
Bolton ace Chung-Yong Lee could be the next big signing at
Anfield. Rafael Benitez will make an attempt to sign the Korean
international.
Blackburn are in talks with Aruna Dindane, currently on loan at
Portsmouth, over a move to Blackburn.
