Fabio Capello, Mary Poppins and Sven from Sweden, who is next ?

England will always try to be the best. The fact that they appointed an Italian and a Swede makes you wonder how desperate they are.
What will happen next,
article continues

England failed again at the World Cup stage. What will happen next.

They have thrown big money on persons that they thougt would have magic abillity and win the World Cup for England.

Capello and Eriksson both had a good group of players to work with, and both had the experience needed to do a great job, but so far, no luck with foreign affairs.

Steve "Mary Poppins" McClaren was appointed between the two foreigners and he couldn't even get England qualified for the Euro 2008 Championships.

So why is it not possible for England to go far in the World Cup, is it all down to bad luck, or are the people they appoint not able to deliver when they take on this job.

English journalists this time thought the team wasn't good enough, but when will it be. If you look at the players and the way they have been involved at the highest level, there should be quality enough to do well.

So is it really down to the manager of England, or is it something else ?

Will England go for an icon. Brazil. Argentina and Germany have done well with "icons" such as Maradona, Dunga, Beckenbauer and Klinsmann.

Could Beckham be next for England, or is it a bit too early ?

He has never been in charge of a football team but he has worked under a number of fantastic
managers and no one would ever doubt his knowledge of football.
