Liverpool, Cole, injuries and
hope of glory

Liverpool fans must be pleased with the addition of Joe Cole. The big question will be if a Gerrard, Torres and Cole combination is a gamble that could stop every hope of glory, article continues

On paper it would be a dream to have the trio Gerrard, Torres and Cole in your team, also if you are a manager in a play station league, but in real life it's a different story.

Roy Hodgson will make an attempt to bring the club back into the Champions League party, but also make an attempt to win the Premier League.

He knows that with Gerrard, Torres and Cole he has three players with the abillity to be the best, but the big question is how on earth he shall manage to keep them all fit during a long season.

Rafael Benitez never managed to find out how to use his two best players in a way that both kept both Gerrard and Torres fit over a full season and he sometimes stumbled in the Premier Leauge to use them in the right positions and at the right time.

Joe Cole is a splended player but his injury journal is no pleasent reading. Roy Hodgson has taken a massive gamble in bringing Cole to Anfield.

Cole was important at Chelsea, but with so many other quality players in midfield they were never dependent on him in a way that Liverpool will be if they are to win the big trophies again.

Roy Hodgson has made a massive gamble with the signing of Joe Cole and the fact that the player has an injury record that makes you all wonder if he can play more than 15 to 20 games a season.
