2012, Top 20,
who are the best websites on the net,
covering English football. |
| |
|
| |
The 2012, Top 20,
nominations are done. Soccervoice rates the 20 best general football
websites an the 20 best independent fansites. This year some regulars
are still here with some new sites coming up among the best, according
to our panel. |
| |
The general nominations
includes of course the Sky Sport and the BBC, you also
have Team Talk and several other sites that makes it to the top
20. One site that this year has turned out to be among the best is
Soccerway, covering stats and facts from the game and one that shows
great quality.
The sites that gets into the top 20 are rated on several areas, but
content and design are the most important. Also important to see when
you first visit what the site is all about. Is it a general football
site, a link exchange, a forum, statpack or whatever. It has to be
unique in it self.
Some sites are always up there like the Everton fansite Toffeeweb,
who is quality through and trough. You have the Arsenal site,
Arseblog, that always gives you quality content and interesting
views from fans of this great and traditional club.
Liverpool is also in the list with a site, not always mentioned, but
that is worth it's place, The Tomkins Times. Man Utd and Man City
are also on the list, with Busby Way and Blue Moon. Both
sites with great content.
League 1 club Huddersfield is on the list with Terrier Bytes, a
site and a forum that stands out for it self with great design and good
content.
Championship clubs Leicester City and Crystal Palace are there with two
sites each, The Cunning Fox and Foxes Talk for Leicester
and Five Year Plan and Holmesdale.net for Palace. All four
sites brings great content and good design.
Hull City with website Amber Nectar is another one, so is Everton
site Blue Kipper. Giving a nice view and good coverage of the
club talked and written about.
You have the blogs Cought Offside and In The Terraces
among the nominated sites in the general section. Who ate all the
pies are also among the candidates. All of them covering a general
view of English football. EPL talk is another site among the Top
20.
New sites that are recomended to us, will be given a chance to get into
the list on a running basis, and if not getting into the top 20 list, if
good enough being placed in our footylink
section of good and quality sites.
The Soccervoice panel have of course a number of favourites and there
are always sites that makes the grade, from the deep, and others that of
course for always will be among the best, but if you have to pick one
among the general sites, and one among the fansites here are our
favurites this year
Not easy to say, but the two on the top, Soccerway and
Toffeeweb stands out as great quality for visitors and must be our
favourites, but as we say this is about 20 sites, and not one or two, so
we are happy with the 40 sites picked this season and hope that you will
give them all a number of visits.
